Wedding Officiant in Indianapolis
Need someone to legally marry you in Indianapolis? Diamond Wedding Chapel offers an in-house wedding officiant for marriage license signings, elopements, and chapel wedding ceremonies.
Whether you want a quick legal signing, a simple civil ceremony, or a beautiful chapel wedding with family and friends, we can help make the process easy, affordable, and stress-free.
IMPORTANT: Most courthouse or government buildings, including Marion County, only issue marriage licenses. They do not perform the ceremony or sign the license to make your marriage legal. After you receive your license, our officiant can complete the legal signing through a marriage license appointment, elopement, or chapel wedding ceremony at Diamond Wedding Chapel.
A Simple Way to Get Legally Married
More Than Just Someone to Sign the License
Many couples start by searching for a wedding officiant because they do not know where to begin. At Diamond Wedding Chapel, we make it easier by offering both the officiant and the ceremony space in one place.
You can keep it simple with a marriage license signing, or you can choose a chapel ceremony with music, vows, guests, and photos. Our goal is to help you get legally married without confusion, pressure, or unnecessary planning.

Ceremony signing after you bring your own speaker or minister
This is a good option for couples who want to be legally married but do not want to search for a separate officiant, separate venue, and separate instructions.
Can We Bring Our Own Officiant or Minister?
Yes. You may bring your own officiant, minister, pastor, family member, friend, or ceremony speaker to perform the ceremony if you prefer.
This is helpful for couples who want someone who better fits their culture, language, faith, personality, or family tradition.
In many cases, your chosen person does not have to be a registered minister for us to help with the legal portion. If arranged before the ceremony, our in-house officiant can sign the marriage license so your marriage can be legally completed.
This gives couples more freedom to have a ceremony that feels personal while still keeping the legal process simple.
Why Choose Diamond Wedding Chapel Instead of Hiring Only an Officiant?
Many officiants only provide the ceremony service. That means you may still need to find a location, plan the setup, arrange music, and figure out where the ceremony will happen.
At Diamond Wedding Chapel, you can keep everything easier.
You get access to:
-
An in-house wedding officiant
-
A decorated chapel
-
Simple ceremony packages
-
Marriage license signing
-
Optional music and guest seating
-
Elopement and small wedding options
-
A stress-free appointment-based process
This is especially helpful for couples who want a simple, legal, and beautiful ceremony without planning a full wedding.

Is this the same as a Justice of the Peace?
Many couples search for “Justice of the Peace” when they are looking for someone who can legally marry them or sign their marriage license.
Diamond Wedding Chapel is not a courthouse or government office. Most Indiana courthouse or government buildings, including Marion County, only issue marriage licenses. They do not perform the ceremony or sign the license to make the marriage legal.
After you receive your marriage license, you still need an authorized person to perform the ceremony or complete the legal signing. Diamond Wedding Chapel offers an in-house wedding officiant for ceremonies and marriage license signings held at our chapel.
Can we just sign the marriage license?
Yes. We offer a marriage license signing option for couples who want the simplest legal appointment without a full chapel ceremony.
Can we say vows and exchange rings?
Yes. Vows and ring exchange are optional for some signing appointments and included in many ceremony packages.
Can we have guests?
Yes. Guest count depends on the package you choose. Some options allow only a few guests, while other chapel ceremony packages allow up to 50 guests.
Do you travel outside the chapel?
Diamond Wedding Chapel mainly focuses on ceremonies and signings at our Indianapolis chapel. If you are looking for a traveling officiant, please contact us to ask if any outside officiant options are available.
What if we forgot our marriage license?
We cannot complete the legal signing without your marriage license and valid photo identification. If you forget your license or required identification, you may need to schedule a return appointment and an additional fee may apply.
Do you provide a photographer?
No. Diamond Wedding Chapel does not provide a professional photographer. You are welcome to bring your own photographer to capture your ceremony and special moments.
For some ceremony packages, the officiant may be able to take a few quick photos with your device after the ceremony. You may also add our self-service photo booth, which includes up to 30 printed 4x6 keepsake photos and unlimited digital copies through an online gallery.
