How Do I Get Married in Indiana?

To get legally married in Indiana, you must first apply for a marriage license through the county clerk’s office. If you are applying in Marion County, you can start the process online through the official Marion County marriage license application page.

After you complete the application, both people must appear at the clerk’s office to finish the process and receive the marriage license. Once you have your license, bring it with you to Diamond Wedding Chapel. Our in-house wedding officiant can perform your ceremony and sign the license after your wedding.

Do you provide a photographer?

No. Diamond Wedding Chapel does not provide a professional photographer. You are welcome to bring your own photographer to capture your ceremony and special moments.

The Diamond Package includes a self-service photo booth, up to 30 printed 4x6 keepsake photos, and unlimited digital copies through an online gallery. The officiant may also be able to take a few quick photos with your device after the ceremony.

Is the Diamond Package a micro wedding?

Yes. The Diamond Package is our micro wedding package because it includes many of the meaningful parts of a traditional wedding, but on a smaller scale. It is designed for couples who want a beautiful ceremony with close family and friends without planning a large wedding or full reception.

How many guests can we invite?

The Diamond Package is designed for intimate weddings with up to 50 guests.

How much time is included?

The Diamond Package includes 3 hours total: 1 hour in the bridal suite before the ceremony and 2 hours in the chapel for the ceremony, photos, and socializing.

Is the chapel already decorated?

Yes. The chapel is fully decorated, so you do not need to rent or set up major decorations for your ceremony.

Is the cake real?

The display cake is a 3-tier faux wedding cake that looks beautiful in photos. A real slice of cake is included for the couple to cut during the cake-cutting ceremony.

Is food included?

The Diamond Package includes a complimentary dessert bar with light refreshments. It is not a full meal, catering package, or full reception.

Do you provide the officiant?

Yes. Our in-house officiant can perform the ceremony and sign your Indiana marriage license. You may also bring your own officiant or minister at no extra cost.

Can we bring our own officiant?

Yes. You may bring your own officiant, minister, or ceremony speaker. If needed, our in-house officiant can still sign the marriage license to complete the legal portion.

Can we choose our music?

Yes. You can play your favorite songs through Bluetooth for your wedding march, first walk as a couple, first dance, and post-ceremony celebration.

Is this the same as a traditional wedding?

It includes many traditional wedding moments, such as the ceremony, music, cake cutting, toast, guests, photos, and keepsakes, but in a smaller and simpler format.

Is this a reception package?

No. This is a micro wedding package with ceremony and small celebration moments. It is not a full reception with dinner, catering, or a long party.

Do we need a marriage license?

Yes, if you are getting legally married. You must bring your Indiana marriage license and valid photo identification so your marriage can be completed and signed.
