Marion County Residents: To be legally married, you must first get a marriage license.

1. Complete an online application here.

2. Attend your appointment (in-person or virtual).

3. Have an officiant sign your license.

Bring a valid Indiana marriage license and photo ID for us to sign.

Non-Marion County Residents:

• Indiana residents: Get your license in your home county; you can hold your ceremony anywhere in Indiana.

• Out-of-state visitors marrying in Marion County: Apply at the Marion County Clerk’s Office.

Important notes:

• A marriage license is valid for 60 days from the date it’s issued. You can marry the same day.

• If you do not marry within 60 days, you must reapply and pay the fee again.

• Return your signed license within 30 days after your wedding to make it legal.

1. Click the “Request to Book” button under your chosen package to open the order form.

2. Fill out the form with your preferred date and wedding details.

3. We will check availability for your date and an officiant.

4. Once confirmed, you will receive a proposal/service agreement by email to review and sign.

5. After you sign the agreement, we will send an invoice for payment to officially secure your date.

Your date is officially reserved once payment is received.

Yes! You can bring your own person to lead your wedding ceremony — for example, someone from your family, culture, or religion.

They do not need to be a minister or licensed officiant. Our chapel officiant will still sign your marriage license to make your marriage legal in the State of Indiana.

This is a great choice if you want your ceremony to feel more personal or cultural, while we make sure it’s official and legal.

**Ruby Package:** - All payments, including add-ons, are non-refundable and due at booking. - Your date is secured once payment is received. **Emerald & Diamond Packages:** - A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your total invoice is required at booking. - The final non-refundable payment is due 90 days after your initial payment. - If your ceremony is within 90 days, the full amount is due at booking. - All payments are final and non-refundable. **Damage Deposit:** - A refundable $100 damage deposit is required for the Emerald and Diamond packages. - It will be returned if no damages occur during your time at Diamond Wedding Chapel.

We offer pre-written wedding vows that include:

• Introduction

• Declaration

• Vow exchange (“repeat after me”)

• Ring exchange

• Pronouncement

You can also:

• Say your own personal vows

• Choose a civil (non-religious) or religious ceremony
  

  • Civil (non-religious): No mention of God in your vows

  • Religious: Includes mention of God in your vows

For the Emerald and Diamond packages, you can add a special ceremony, like a unity candle or sand ceremony.

Ceremony Timing:

• A typical ceremony is about 10 minutes long.

• The rest of the time is for photos and socializing.

Marriage License:

• The Officiant will complete your marriage license before the ceremony.

• You can sign together or separately if you don’t want to see each other before the ceremony.

• Return your signed marriage license within 30 days after your wedding to make it legal.

Officiant Info:

• Every package comes with an Officiant.

• You may bring your own Officiant at no extra cost. They will be responsible for signing your marriage license and for the flow of your ceremony.

Important:

• A marriage certificate is a keepsake, not a legal document.

• A marriage license is the legal document you must get and file with the State of Indiana.

Everyone is counted as a guest expect for the couple, officiant, photographer(s), and non-walking children. The wedding party (bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, etc.) are considered guests.

We do not offer a traditional sit-down reception. Our focus is on giving you a full wedding ceremony experience at a lower cost.

We offer a small, complimentary dessert bar only for the Diamond Package. Guest can grab a dessert, a cold cup of lemonade or sweet tea, and socialize with music and love in the air!

If you want a sit-down reception, we recommend local restaurants to keep costs down on your special day.

Note: Outside food or drinks are not allowed, except for the cake used in the cake-cutting ceremony, which is only for the couple to cut and feed each other.

You can bring your own decorations and wedding items (such as; guest book, flower basket, etc.), but Diamond Wedding Chapel is not responsible for these items and you are fully liable if someone is injured by your brought items. Diamond Wedding Chapel has the right to reject items that has the potential to cause damage or injure someone.

No outside food or drinks are allowed, except for bottled water, approved wedding favors and the cake used in the cake-cutting ceremony, which is only for the couple to cut and feed each other.

Currently, our chapel is exclusively designed for small, intimate wedding ceremonies and is not available for other events.

Candles, candle holders, glass cylinders for sand, cake toppers, utensils, markers, lighters, bouquets, veils, pillow, flower basket, scissors, and other related items are only available to borrow.

• All items must be returned at the end of your allotted time.

• Damage or loss may result in forfeiting your damage deposit.
